Barr EOM manages the flow of documents throughout an organization. It connects document sources (Mainframe, UNIX, iSeries, Windows, etc) to destinations (printers, email addresses, CD/DVDs, etc) and provides a series of tools to ensure critical information gets to the right place in the right format. Barr EOM’s Document Library is an integrated destination and can publish your documents online.

Setting up the Document Library is easy. Barr EOM captures the documents, indexes the contents, transforms the format, bursts or bundles the pages, and passes the information to the Document Library. Once the documents and reports reach the Document Library, users can view, download, and reprint them on demand via their web browser. Many times, organizations want to both print a document and present it online and the Multiple Destination Routing feature of Barr EOM greatly simplifies this process.

Once documents reach the Document Library, they are kept secure with features such as group- and user-based access profiles, audit controls, and authorization controls to monitor and enforce the viewing privileges of each file. The Document Library integrates with Microsoft’s Active Directory, as well as other LDAP servers and can directly reference and use your existing network users and groups.

At the end of the day, implementing the Document Library can greatly reduce the costs associated with printing paper-based information.
