BARR/CHANNEL OUT SDK

Drive parallel Bus & Tag devices from your server-based application

BARR/CHANNEL-OUT SDK is a Software Development Kit (SDK) that includes all of the hardware and software that you need to channel-attach S/390 devices to a PC.

The BARR/CHANNEL-OUT SDK includes a sample host emulation device driver and source code to send output to an IBM® 4245 printer. Virtually any S/390 device can be attached to the PC with this product.

Requirements

    Microsoft Windows

    Minimum Software Components:

    • Microsoft Windows 2003, Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft® NT Server 4.0 (Service Pack 3) or Microsoft NT Workstation

    Minimum Hardware Components:

    • Processor must support operating system and PCI bus

    • Processor speed, storage and memory are user application dependent

    Solaris

    Minimum Software Components:

    • Sun Solaris Operating System v2.5

    Minimum Hardware Components:

    • Processor must support operating system and PCI bus

    • Processor speed, storage and memory are user application dependent

    AIX

    Minimum Software Components:

    • IBM ® AIX v4.3

    Minimum Hardware Components:

    • Processor must support operating system and PCI bus

    • Processor speed, storage and memory are user application dependent

    Linux

    • Suse Linux operating system v9.0, or

    • OpenLinux v3.1.1
